3. Remove the pointer by applying slight upward pressure underneath it using a very small regular screwdriver. You should only need to apply pressure to the center of the pointer.


4. Ensure the caliper's jaws are closed, and firmly press a new pointer onto the dial pin. The pointer should be set to point as close to the "0" indication as possible.


5. Place the dial cover and ring back on the dial, and press or screw the bezel back in place.
