The Dodge edge of trucks in 1986 varied from dwarf package-delivery courier pickups to the Dodge Ram 1500 brute force vehicle suitable for towing and Stirring fifth-wheel campers. The design could produce a torque of 360 lbs. per square foot and did so with a four-speed transmission in the stock offering. The manual transmission came with a five-speed package. The body was offered with a standard two-door cabin and a four-door crew cab.
For a bit extended impulse and torque, a 2.6-liter example was available in the corresponding D50 body.
The Mid-Range Offering
The 1986 line also offered a fully commercial-grade truck in the 1500 model, which boasted a new front end d cor. 1986 was also the last year the crew cab and flared truck bed shape were offered in the 1500 line. Coupled with a 3.9-liter six-cylinder engine, the 1500 provided its owners 190 horsepower.
The Strength Package
The D150 pickup put out a strong 5.9-liter eight-cylinder engine. Smaller engines were available in a six-cylinder and smaller eight-cylinder option. The Wide array appealed to a digit of discrepant consumers and gave Dodge a fully competitive coverage of the consumer Motor lorry bazaar.
