Pull both tanks out from the item and unplug the electrical connexion. Detach the fluid hoses from both tanks, squeezing the hose clamps with pliers and pulling the hoses off the Issue Trimmings.

2. Remove the guide region over the alternator and capability steering pump. Loosen the alternator focus bolt and locking bolt with a socket wrench. Loosen the adaption bolt to loosen slack on the cummerbund, then slip the girdle from the alternator, aptitude steering pump and crankshaft pulleys.

3. Remove the tire and rim. Lift the front passenger's side of the vehicle with a hydraulic jack and apartment jack stands under the frame censure to secure it. Unscrew the lug nuts and pull the rim and tire from the vehicle. Unscrew the fasteners holding the fender splash shield in abode with a Phillips screwdriver and pull the shield gone from the vehicle.

4. Place the digit one position at top dead centre. Turn the crankshaft with a socket wrench. Displace the gouge in the crankshaft pulley aligns with the cipher on the timing plate. Complete not grant the crankshaft to motion beyond this development.

Route the drive belt over alternator, power steering pump and crankshaft pulleys. Tighten the adjustment bolt with a socket wrench to create tension on the drive belt. Tighten the alternator pivot bolt and lock bolt with a socket wrench. Unscrew the two down bolts holding the bracket in abode and one bolt holding the driver's seat rod in compass, near the passenger's side of the engine block, with a socket wrench.

6. Remove the upper timing girdle encompass and gasket. Unclip the wiring harness above the include and push it aside. Remove the upper timing embrace mounting bolts with a socket wrench and pull the timing include and gasket outside from the engine block.

7. Remove the timing sash tensioner and timing zone from the camshaft sprockets. Unscrew the two bolts on the side of the tensioner with a socket wrench and pull the tensioner elsewhere from the engine block. Rotate the camshaft sprocket on the hold water side clockwise to loosen the pulley. Slip the sash from the camshaft sprockets.

8. Remove upper loafer pulley and crankshaft pulley. Remove the two mounting bolts that amass the upper loafer pulley in community with a socket wrench, then pull the loafer pulley from the engine block. Country a pry bar between the crankshaft pulley spokes and remove the crankshaft pulley bolt with a socket wrench. Pull the pulley off the crankshaft.

10. Remove the loafer pulley and plate washer with an Allen wrench, located near the crankshaft. Remove the girdle from the crankshaft sprocket.

11. Install the loafer pulley and plate washer with a torque wrench and Allen bit, located near the crankshaft. Tighten the pulley mounting bolts to 25 foot-pounds.

12. Install the timing cestuses and lower encompass. Route the girdle over the crankshaft sprocket, then over the formerly installed idler pulley, then over the baptize pump pulley. Fix the lower timing region subsume and gasket over the crankshaft sprocket and install the mounting bolts with a socket wrench.

13. Install the upper loafer pulley with a torque wrench, tightening the mounting bolts to 32 foot-pounds.

14. Slip the timing sash over the camshaft sprocket on the left side, then over the camshaft sprocket on the due side. Rotate the camshaft sprocket counterclockwise on the good side to development cummerbund tension.

15. Install the timing belt tensioner. Push in the push rod inside the tensioner while installing the tensioner against the engine block. Establish the upper timing girth subsume and gasket over the camshaft sprockets and install the mounting bolts with a socket wrench. Clip the wiring harness back to the top of the timing sash incorporate.17.Install the engine movement bridle rod and bracket. Set the bracket and control rod in place and install the two through bolts holding the bracket in place and one bolt holding the control rod in place, with a socket wrench.

Tighten the mounting bolts with a torque wrench, tightening them to 20 foot-pounds.16. Install the upper timing belt encompass.

Remove the jack and block of wood from under the vehicle.

18. Install the upper idler pulley and crankshaft pulley. Set the upper idler pulley against the timing cover and install the two mounting bolts with a socket wrench. Guide the crankshaft pulley over the crankshaft, aligning the notch in the pulley with the zero on the timing plate. Place a pry bar between the spokes of the pulley while installing the pulley bolt with a torque wrench. Tighten the bolt to 159 foot-pounds.

19. Install the tire and rim. Place the splash shield along the inner fender and install the retainers with a Phillips screwdriver. Guide the rim and tire over the lug nut studs and install the lug nuts with a torque wrench, tightening them to 76 foot-pounds. Support the vehicle with a hydraulic jack, pull the jack stands from under the vehicle and lower the vehicle with the hydraulic jack.

20.5. Remove the engine movement check rod and bracket. Put a Apartment lodgings block of wood on the hydraulic press and slide the jack under the vehicle. Lift the engine slightly with the jack to support the weight of the engine against the backside of the vehicle frame.

21. Install the coolant overflow tank and windshield washer tank. Attach the fluid hoses to both tanks and plug in the electrical connections to both tanks. Set the tanks in place and install the mounting bolts with a socket wrench.
