Program A Transponder Key For Any 2005 Focus

Ford kept the Convoy alive from 1981 on ice the 2000 design year and Last of all removed it from its lineup in 2001. 2. Insert the second programmed key within five seconds of removing the first key, and turn the ignition to the "Run" position. Turn the key to the "Off" position after one second in the "Run" position and remove the key.


3. Insert the unprogrammed key into the ignition within 10 seconds of removing the second programmed key and turn the key to the "Run" position for one second. Turn the key to the "Off" position and remove it.


4. Insert the newly-programmed key and attempt to begin the Focus. If it does not start, repeat Steps 1 through 3.


5. Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for any additional unprogrammed keys.


Without Two Programmed Keys


6. Insert the unprogrammed key in the ignition and turn it to the "Run" position.


7. Turn on the OBD-II diagnostic tool and direct it to the "Security Access" function. Wait approximately 10 minutes with the key in the "Run" position for the OBD-II tool to access the security system.


8. Select "Ignition Key Code Program" from the "Security Access" program. Wait for the OBD-II scanner to confirm the programming of the key.


9. Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for any other unprogrammed keys.


Turn the ignition off and attempt to begin the vehicle. If the car does not start immediately, remove the key and repeat Steps 1 through 3.10.
