Instructions
1. Remove the interior panels from the car, if possible. Lay them on a flat surface with old paper or newspaper beneath them. If they are not removable, mask off the area around the panels with tape, paper or an old sheet to protect remainder of the car interior.
2. Wash the interior panels with soap and water. Wash and scrub with a sponge until the water is no longer beading up on the panels. Interior panels have probably been cleaned with protectants that can leave a residue. This residue prevents paint from bonding to the panel. All of the residue must be removed for the paint to bond correctly. Rinse and dry the panels completely.
3. Clean the panels with a vinyl prep product to receive the surface ready for paint. If such a product is not available, the panel can be sanded with 600-grit sand paper, then wiped clean.
Spray two coats of clear/gloss paint over the painted panels and allow them to dry completely before touching them or driving the car.
4. Apply three coats of interior paint to the panels, allowing each coat to dry between applications.5.
