Hydraulic jacks come in many forms. A hydraulic floor jack is usually used to lift vehicles that enjoy low ground clearance. Instructions
1. Remove the retaining screws from the plate with a Phillips screwdriver. Lift the plate straight up and place it aside.3.
Establish the jack lowering screw near the deadline of the hydraulic cylinder. Insert the slotted end of the jack into the screw and rotate it in a counterclockwise direction to fully lower the jack lifting pad.2. Place the jack on its wheels and locate the metal cover plate on the top of the jack.
Locate the oil filler plug on the hydraulic cylinder; it should be revealed when you remove the metal cover. Pry the plug out with a flat blade screwdriver and place it aside.
4. Insert the jack handle into the jack lifting pivot assembly. Pump the handle up and down as if you were raising the jacking pad. Continue pumping the jack handle several times to expel any air from the cylinder.
5. Peer into the oil filler hole and check the oil level. Add hydraulic oil to the cylinder using a plastic squeeze bottle until the level is brought up to the bottom of the hole.
6. Tighten the jack lowering screw in a clockwise direction. Push the oil filler plug back into place until it is fully seated. Replace the metal cover and the retaining screws. Test the jack before attempting to lift a vehicle.
