Change Devices On The 2002 Kia

Transform Belts on a 2002 Kia

In 2002 Kia released a virgin and improved lineup of cars including the Spectra and the Rio. All of Kia's vehicles apply a ride band to lope a conglomeration of pumps and gears in the engine such as the alternator and the bathe pump. These vehicles practice the twin basic directions for replacing the ride cestuses. Replacing a Kia drive belt Testament select approximately an interval. At -ome mechanics devoir not consternation replacing the handle cestuses, being it is no problem incident of pulling the dated one off (provided it's all the more on) and putting a cutting edge one on.

Instructions

1. Disconnect the counteractive battery cable from the battery terminal, using the socket wrench.

2. Loosen the adjuster bolt on the tension pulley with the socket wrench. The tension pulley is in the front-center of the engine compartment and is directly behind the fan.

3. Place the new drive belt in its place. Make sure that it follows the correct path and that the belt and all of the grooves in the pulleys line up for a smooth fit.6. Place the tension bar on the tension pulley and the socket wrench on the adjuster bolt.

Once the adjuster bolt is loose, the tension pulley should slide enough to allow the belt to slip off the tension pulley. Then slip the belt off the rest of the pulleys

5. Draw a diagram of the exact path the drive belt takes around the pulleys if there is no such diagram already posted in the engine compartment.4. Remove the drive belt.

Use the tension bar as a lever to tighten the belt. Once the belt is tight, tighten the adjuster bolt to secure the tension pulley in place.

7. Reattach the negative battery cable.
