Instructions
1. Lift up the front of the vehivle using the jack and corner jack stands underneath it.
2. Slide under the exhaust manifold. The exhaust manifold is attached at two points: the engine and the exhaust piping.
3. Unscrew the bolts attaching the exhaust manifold to the exhaust piping. Slide the exhaust main off the exhaust manifold and settle it to the side.
4. Make sure all the bolts are properly torqued.10. Slide the exhaust piping into the new manifold and screw in the bolts.
Tap the exhaust manifold with the rubber mallet to dislodge it from the engine cylinders.
6. Remove the exhaust manifold. Throw out the gaskets and the bolts.
7. Clean the new exhaust manifold, the cylinders, gaskets and exhaust piping free of dirt and dust. This will ensure the proper settlement of the new exhaust manifold.
8. Place the gasket on the exhaust manifold. Slide the exhaust manifold into the cylinders while keeping the gasket in place.
9. Screw the bolts in the exhaust manifold attaching it to the cylinders. Unscrew the bolts attaching the exhaust manifold to the engine. Depending on the engine, the exhaust manifold may be attached by anywhere from eight to 12 bolts.5.
