Repair Scuffed Alloy

Scuffed alloy refers to the wheels on your van activity scuffed due to curb-checking or some other miscelaneous damage to the rims.1. Loosen the shove lug nuts by turning the lugs 45 degrees with a tire wrench.2. Jack the vehicle off the ground using the jack points in the front of the vehicle.



This typically happens when cars or trucks are parked further speedy to curbs and confine up rubbing against them. Damage to alloy can be constant; on the other hand, it is age intensive and requires sanding the surface of the circle and repainting it.

Instructions


Apartment jack stands under the vehicle's front pinch welds and lower the vehicle onto the stands. Repeat this case for the rear wheels using the rear jack mark and rear pinch welds.


3. Stop removing the lug nuts and pull the wheels off.


4. Incision off the tire and any other areas you achieve not yen painted.


5. Capitalization sandpaper to smooth the surface of the alloy turn.


6. Sponge off any debris with a Disinfected rag.


7. Spray three coats of gloss on the rim, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next.


8. Remove the newspaper and tape and put the alloy rims back on the wheel hub. Tighten the lug nuts.


9. Lower the vehicle to the ground and torque the lug nuts to 100 pound-feet.
