Install Wheel Bearings On The 2001 Dodge 1500

The spin bearings on a 2001 Dodge 1500 grant the front wheels to spin. These bearings wear down over bit and eventually lose lubrication. Instructions


1. Country the bearing cups in the centre of the suspension and guide it in levy with the bearing Mug Chauffeur baggage. Place wheel bearing grease on the inside of the hub.3. Place the hub and rotor onto the spindle with your hands. Grease the outer circle bearing with the wheel bearing grease, and install the bearing into the hub by hand.



Manipulate the bearing grease to the outer circle bearings with your hands.2. Settle the inner circle bearing onto the suspension with your hands and then tap the virgin bearing seal onto the bearing with the mallet. Deposit bearing grease onto the confine of the spindle with your hands. Install the washer and retaining nut onto the hub with by hand. Tighten the retaining nut to 30 to 40 foot-pounds with the 3/8-inch torque wrench, then install the cotter pin into the spindle with your fingers.


4. Apply the wheel bearing grease to the inside of the dust cap, install the dust cap onto the spindle nut and tap it in place with the rubber mallet. Install the brake caliper onto the spindle with the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Install the front wheels with the tire iron, then lower the Dodge off of the jack stands using the jack.
