Keep Ttops From Adhering To Rubber

Public machine washes prevent rubber seals from sticking.

Over time, your T-top roof may begin to stick to the rubber seal that surrounds the opening. This happens when the seal starts to degrade. Another culprit is dirt that accumulates between the seal and the T-top glass. In order to keep the seal from sticking and potentially breaking, it's important to occasionally clean both the underside of the glass and the rubber seal. This will help to keep your T-top in great shape for years to come.

Instructions

1. Remove the T-top roof from the vehicle. Set the glass aside in a safe place.

2. Wet a clean cloth with soap and water. Scrub any difficult-to-remove material on the underside of the glass where the rubber seal contacts the glass.5. Wipe the rubber seal with a clean rag dampened with silicone interior protector.

Wipe away any residual soap from the rubber, using the rag.

4. Clean the edges of the T-top glass with the rag. Wring it out so that it is soapy and damp.3. Clean the rubber seal on the roof thoroughly, until all the dirt and grime have been removed. Wring out the cloth.
