Switch The Coolant Fan On The 2003 Impala

The cooling fan on a 2003 Chevrolet Impala helps circulate air finished the radiator so that the coolant that goes terminated the engine is at a Correct temperature. Instructions


Tighten up the petcock.2. Pop the hood.1. Let the engine biting down prior to working on the engine. Assign the void pan unbefitting the radiator. Extended the petcock on the radiator with your hands and empty 1-2 gallons of coolant into the pan.


Unbolt the engine brace from the engine compartment using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Unbolt the air intake tubing from the engine with the ratchet, and then pull it elsewhere from the front of the engine. Unbolt the upper radiator hose from the radiator using a brace of pliers.


3. Unbolt the cooling fan shroud from the radiator with the 3/8-inch ratchet, amplitude and sockets and then pull the shroud absent from the radiator. Remove the transmission cooler lines from the side of the engine with the string wrench. Unplug the wiring to the cooling fan. Pull the cooling fan shroud and cooling fans from the engine bay as one unit.


4. Install the replacement cooling fan meeting into the engine bay with the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Reinstall the transmission cooler lines using a path wrench.


5. Reinstall the upper radiator hose to the radiator with the pliers. Reinstall the air intake tubing from the engine with the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Reinstall the engine brace with the ratchet also.


6. Expansive the radiator cap, then top off the radiator with the 50-50 pre-diluted coolant.
