Take Away The Door Panel On The 2000 Grand Am

The door panel of a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am is easier to remove than it looks. Instructions


1. Manage the door completely. Pull the inside door haft and remove the screw remain that use. Pull the plastic housing off from environing the door handle.


2. Remove the two screws from the armrest by using a Phillips screwdriver. One screw is down inside the opening on top of the armrest and the other underneath the armrest.


3. Pull the panel away from the car.


There are plastic clips on the back side of the door panel, attaching it to the door. Pulling on the panel will make these clips pop out of the door, freeing the door panel. There are four clips along the bottom edge and three on each side. Once these are out, lift up on the door panel to lift it off of the door.


5. Reach behind the door panel and unplug the wiring harness from the backside of the switches for the windows and doors. Pry the reflector off of the door panel using a flat screwdriver. Remove the screw underneath the reflector with a Phillips screwdriver.4. Pull up on the door panel, starting at a bottom corner.
