The Chevy 350 (5.71 litre) engine was a guideline limited block engine manufactured and used in a quantity of vehicles including the Camaro, Nova, Impala and El Camino. The fuel pump on the Chevy 350 engine is a Slogan that pumps fuel from your Gauze receptacle to the carburettor, to fabricate the engine canter. The 350 fuel pump was powered by a relay inaugurate inside the leading relay panel on most Chevy models. If the fuel pump on your 350 engine stops working the first thing you should check is the fuel pump relay.
Instructions
1. Open your Chevy's hood and remove the negative battery cable.
2. Locate the main relay panel inside your Chevy. The location will vary with different Chevy models, but the relay panel is generally located near the battery. Check your owners manual to determine the exact location if you cannot locate it on your own.
3. Pull the fuel pump relay out of your 350 and then set your voltmeter to the Ohm setting.5. Place your voltmeter leads on the power terminals of the relay.
Open your 350's relay panel and then locate the fuel pump relay. The location of the fuel pump relay will be designated on a relay diagram printed on the inside lid of the relay panel cover.4.
If the meter shows that there is continuity it means the relay is bad and it should be replaced.
