Removing the Pump

Installing The Water Pump

8. Reattach the car parts in the reverse order they were removed.
9. Reattach the cable to the car's battery. Start the engine and check for any leaks. Refill the radiator with the appropriate mix of water and antifreeze.
10. Allow the engine to idle and warm so that the thermostat in the engine opens to permit radiator fluid into the engine block. After this has occurred, refill the radiator as needed.
