Place A New Radio Inside A Ford F150

You may need to upgrade your Ford F-150 after driving it off the group. Disconnect the battery terminal to prevent short circuiting. Unsnap and remove the filled front panel above the workshop radio by pulling at the top, and city it aside. This Testament not completely detach. Stir it outside to boost access to the radio and its attachments.



Among the additions you can assemble without the service of a mechanic is putting in a brand-new radio. You may hold to get more wiring that Testament exchange connexion wires for compatibility between the radio and your early F-150 radio wiring.

2. Remove the four 9/32 screws. Remove the plant installed radio. Detach the plugs connecting the radio to the harness and detach the antennae plug.


3. Identify the new head unit provisions kit assembly. Note your year and model and remove the tabs that are not necessary for installing the radio for your Ford F-150.


4. Insert your radio casing into the kit assembly. Bend the tabs on your radio casing outward to secure it in place.


5. Slide your radio into the case until it snaps into place. Once the radio is securely snapped in, note your wire plugs and attach them to the harness, and attach the antennae plug.


6. Install your radio casing using the same methods used to remove the factory installed radio. Insert the four 9/32 screws to secure the new head unit provisions kit assembly.


7. Replace the front panel by aligning the tabs at the bottom, the middle and the top. Once aligned, snap the panel into place. Reattach the battery cable and enjoy your new radio.
