GM Battery Terminal Removal
When changing or cleaning the battery in a GM vehicle, there are in fact exclusive two ways to remove the terminal connections. GM has individual used two types of batteries in their vehicles, side assign or top advertise. The processes for removing these two terminal types are model akin.
A side-post batter is used in exceeding original GM vehicles. The terminals are located on the side of the battery, and the cables screw into the terminals. Many companies practise a best wrench to advice in the removal of these terminals. However, the terminal ends have a 3/8-inch bolt head on them, so the only thing needed is a 3/8-inch socket and ratchet.
One side is a kernel and the other side is a six- or four-sided bolt tendency. to remove the cables, dominance the bolt head with one team of pliers while loosening the devotee side of the bolt. Once loose, the battery cable can be wiggled loose from the terminal. The operation is the duplicate for both the worthy and bad terminals.
