Remove a Car Antenna


1. Establish the coaxial cable that runs from the antenna to the back of the radio endure the dashboard and evaluation to beam provided there is an margin cable or provided it is one cable running the abundant length. Whether it is an extent, unplug the cable at the margin coupling. Whether it is one cable, unplug the coaxial cable from the back of the radio.


Undo the socket that is holding the antenna to the vehicle frame with a crescent wrench. Have someone hold the antenna on the outside of the car as you loosen the socket to keep it from falling and damaging the paint on the car.5. Slide the socket out of the coaxial cable and then remove the antenna from the car by pulling the coaxial cable through the hole in the vehicle frame.


3. Undo the screws on the antenna mount with a screwdriver and lift the mount off of the vehicle surface. Look under the dashboard on the inside under the front passenger side of the car to locate where the antenna is mounted to the car.
