Instructions
1. Extended the hood for access to the engine compartment.
2. Twist the radiator cap counterclockwise and remove it from the radiator. Observe the coolant calm. The coolant should be visible at the neck of the radiator. Pour in supplementary anti-freeze or aqua to fill up provided fundamental.
3. Screw the objective of a coercion tester onto the neck of the radiator where the cap usually sits. Pump the coercion tester to the proportions designated on the radiator energy tester. 5. In most cases it is 15 pounds per square inch (psi). Timer the gauge to gawk whether it loses impact. Whether the gauge is losing pressure, there is a leak.
Once the engine temperature rises above 195 degrees, the thermostat will open and allow coolant to flow through. If the top radiator hose is hot to the touch and the bottom hose is not hot, a faulty thermostat is indicated.
7. Watch the temperature gauge and observe if the vehicle is running hot. If the gauge indicates the vehicle is running hot, turn the heater on. If the gauge goes down the radiator is either low on coolant or the thermostat is sticking and must be replaced.
