Look Into The Fuel Pressure Inside A 2001 Chevrolet Impala

Chevrolet equipped the 2001 model-year Impalas with a fuel pump and fuel vigour regulator to direction the magnitude of fuel pressure in the fuel-delivery process. Set the cap aside.3. Wrap the shop rag around the service-connection fitting. Install the fuel-pressure gauge fitting onto the service-connection fitting.

Turn the air conditioning off, then turn the machine off. District the dry chemical (Group B) flare extinguisher near at share. Don safety glasses.

2. Conduct the hood. Spray compressed air approximately the fuel-pressure function connexion located on the front of the fuel against. Remove dirt and foreign matter from the cap and surrounding area. Grasp and turn the service-connection cap counter-clockwise to unscrew it. Testing performed on the fuel step to diagnose performance problems in the engine, such as stalling, no-start conditions and Rugged sluggish, day one with a static fuel-pressure reading. The fuel compel analysis shows the compel in the fuel process.

Instructions

1.

Position the fitting to avoid contact with the belt. Connect the fuel-pressure gauge to the fuel-pressure gauge fitting.

4. Insert the drain hose on the fuel-pressure gauge into the fuel container. Turn the fuel gauge's bleed valve slowly To admit pressure to escape. Once pressure is relieved and no gas is exiting the drain hose, tighten the bleed valve securely.

5. Turn the ignition key to the "On" position. Wait a few seconds, then read the pressure on the fuel-pressure gauge's display.
