Bring the renewal notification, New York State Insurance Identification Card (FS-20), fee and a government-issued picture ID to a native branch of the New York State DMV.2.
Options to resume contain online, over the packages or in subject at a DMV department. When choosing the in-person choice, be prepared with the needed documents to prevent having to go home, retrieve the documents and make another drive back to the DMV.
Instructions
Present the documents to the desk agent and ask to resume your auto registration. If you do not have the renewal reminder, request a copy of New York State Form MV-82 and fill it out completely.
3. Pay the renewal fee and receive the new registration sticker.
4. Scrape the old sticker off of the windshield and place the new registration sticker in the lower left-hand corner of the windshield as per New York law.
