Develop A Jeep Front Bumper

Jeeps are built to activity off-road, and when they hardihood off-road, they sometimes fall into solid objects. 2. Make the bumper mount flange from a single ¼ inch steel plate. Weld it to to both the bumper mounts and extend it six inches on either side.4. Use six inch-by-three inch C-channel steel at least 1/8-inch thick for the bumper core.


Account the MIG welder to reinforce the bumper mounts with 1/8 inch steel plate. Use at least six inches of steel plate along the sides.3.

5. Drill eight ½-inch holes through the bumper and mount, placing one at either end and six arranged in the center in three rows of two. Use Grade 8 nuts and bolts to bolt the bumper to the bumper flange. Grind away the excess metal from the tack welds.


6. Apply a light coat of metal filler on the tack weld to smooth them out and paint the bumper with truck bed liner.
