Replace An Energy Pump Inside A Chevrolet Camaro

Removal

3. Install fuel contour clamps or apply locking pliers to shut the rubber hoses connected to the backside of the fuel pump. Provided you are using locking pliers, wrap electrical tape enclosing the orifice to prevent the metal teeth from evil the rubber hose.


4. Situate a misuse oil organization pan underneath the fuel pump.


5. Loosen the hose clamps that secure the fuel lines to the fuel pump.

8. Pull the fuel pump off the engine block.


Installation

10. Handle a thin coat of gasket sealant to both sides of the gasket.


11. Distance the gasket on the different fuel pump's mounting surface.

14. Quickly slide the fuel pump guide arm into the slot as you remove your finger. Achieve not force the fuel pump into position. It may take a few tries to receive it seated correctly.


15. Reinstall the two upper fuel pump mounting bolts.


16. Reconnect the rubber fuel lines.


17.Tighten the hose clamps over the fuel pump nipples.


18. Remove the fuel line clamps or locking pliers on the rubber fuel lines.


19. Reconnect the ground cable to the negative battery terminal.
