Replace Struts On The 2001 Toyota Sienna Minivan

11. Open the new strut mount set and set the new upper spring seat onto the coil spring. Install a new thrust bearing to the strut and tap the dust cover over the bearing. Place the upper strut mount over the strut and coil spring and loosely install the center mounting nut. Make sure the marks on the upper insulator and shock absorber align with the "Out" mark on the upper spring mount.


12. Tighten the center nut to 36 foot-pounds with the torque wrench, while using the pry bar to prevent rotation of the upper strut mount. Loosen the spring compressors one turn at a time until they are loose. Remove the spring compressors.
